Phodé reaches a new milestone:

Pierre Etienne appointed Chairman, Turenne Santé strengthens its shareholding

On the eve of its 30th anniversary, the Phodé Group enters a new phase of its development with the appointment of Pierre Etienne as Chairman and the increased commitment of Turenne Santé, which becomes the majority shareholder.

Founded in 1996 by Daniel Eclache, a veterinarian and visionary entrepreneur, Phodé has established itself as a pioneering French group in sensory solutions. Throughout its journey, its founder instilled in the company a rigorous scientific foundation and a spirit of conquest that remain its DNA to this day.

A world reference in the development of flavours and plant extract-based solutions for the animal nutrition market, the Group has more recently turned its focus towards the nutraceutical and food & beverage sectors, through a range of flavouring & masking solutions. With a turnover of €26 million in 2025, average growth of 10% per year since 2010, and more than 100 scientific publications to its name, Phodé has full command of its entire value chain, from research through to commercialisation.

On the occasion of its founder’s retirement, Turenne Santé, through its Capital Santé 2 fund, is making a significant reinvestment alongside the management team and is becoming the Group’s majority shareholder. Having been a partner of the executive team since 2022, the fund reaffirms its confidence in and support for Phodé’s ambitious development plan.

Pierre Etienne, previously Chief Executive Officer and now appointed Chairman, comments: “This transaction is aimed at supporting our international development ambitions and giving our Human Care division the means to flourish.” Having been with the company since 1998 and a long-standing shareholder, Pierre Etienne will ensure the scientific continuity and DNA of Phodé.

The company’s management team, whose composition remains unchanged, guarantees continuity of leadership and the enduring values that have underpinned the company’s success.

About Pierre Etienne, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Phodé Group

With a background in chemistry, Pierre Etienne joined Phodé in 1998 as Daniel Eclache’s first colleague. For more than twenty-five years, he jointly led R&D and operations, helping to shape the scientific and operational excellence that is today the hallmark of the Group.

A close collaborator of the founder, he embodies the scientific continuity and DNA of Phodé: expertise, innovation and long-term commitment. Appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2022, then Chief Executive Officer in 2024, he now assumes the Chairmanship with the mission of continuing the Group’s growth trajectory, placing innovation and operational excellence at the heart of its strategy.
