The original starting point
For 30 years, we have been investigating the properties of natural active ingredients to develop concentrates of nature and science. At the company’s inception, interest in the benefits of olfactory molecules motivated studies into the impact of fragrant compounds on the cerebrum, physiology and Better-Being of living creatures. Our collaboration with renowned institutes demonstrated the beneficial effects of olfactory compounds in stress management, with validated use cases in not only livestock farming but also nutraceuticals, for human wellness.
Our explorations
The complex interactions between brain, microbiota and gut have been the subject of much research. But few focus specifically on how the brain communicates with the gut. Phodé has chosen to focus its research on this pathway. Our investigations and partnerships have demonstrated the effects of our olfactory ingredients on brain and behaviour and their consequences on the intestinal barrier and microbiota.
