Phodé's Department of Human Nutrition is based on the essential skills of the company : expertise in olfaction and research in nutrition. 

Capitalizing on their expertise in conducting experiments and operations, Phodé successfully provides answers to very specific problems from different sectors of the food industry. The Human Nutrition Division was thus born; their offer is positioned within three ranges of products

> Foodintech : sensorial additives suitable for industrial processes
> Sensolink : flavors developed with your collaboration and according to your wishes
> Optifood® : the functional flavor

These ranges stem from Phodé's research : the properties of these aromas are strictly tested. They provide an answer to the problems encountered by food industrialists for every application (sweet, salty). 

Whether the approach is a technical, hedonistic or finished product approach, Phodé accompanies their partners for designing, validating or finalizing any solution dealing with flavors.

Foodintech : the technological aroma

The Foodintech range is specially developed to integrate the aroma to the food process. 

Examples of adaptations to the constraints related to manufacturing processes : 

> At process level:
- long pasteurization: T° < 100°C
- short pasteurization or flash pasteurization at 97°C
- sterilization: T° = 121°C for 3 minutes in the core of the product

> Specific flavor formulations which can withstand temperatures of 200°C for a few seconds

> Solubility: water-soluble, liposoluble emulsions

> Powder flowability and liquid viscosity suitable for all types of processes.

Sensolink : the sensorial aroma

The Sensolink range enables to create new sensations. 

A few creative challenges taken up by the Phodé Laboratory : 

> Within the scope of complex manufacturing processes: flavoring of sweets (awards: Flavor of the Year 2001, 2002 and 2003) with exclusive and perennial flavors (ginseng-orange…)

> Original and exclusive flavor concept: creation of appetizer sausages with a taste of Roquefort cheese

> Gustative and technical challenge: production of a cheddar aroma adhered to maize grains and still adhering to popcorn after they have popped in the microwave oven

> Creation of original flavors for collections of chocolates (tomato-sweet basil, pepper…)

Optifood® : the functional aroma

The Optifood® range aims to assist the food function. 

Contribution of our experience in flavors to functional issues :

> Creation of attractants for nutritional supplements in animal nutraceuticals

> Development of appetite-stimulating flavors for persons affected by feeding distress

> Development of debitterizing flavors for improving the appetence of medicinal substances

Placed at the bottom of your glass, they rise to the surface, releasing unexpected flavours and colours.
