Sensorial & functional additives
The Animal Nutrition product range rests on three fundamental areas of company expertise: veterinary experience, olfactive expertise and nutritional research.
Six original solutions have been developed which make it possible to create appetency, loyalty, stimulation and dietary regulation:

The singularity of Phodé in the field of sensorial additives is its scientific knowledge and its mastery of the impact of olfactive molecules in the brain. Phodé thus remains the unique specialist in olfactive conditioning. All the products in our range integrate an Optifeed® “core”, which gives them exceptional characteristics in terms of appeal, appetency, and loyalty to the feed.
Another facet of Phodé’s expertise resides in its capacity to create original and effective formulations. The Crystallic Impregnation® technology developed by Phodé research relies on a matrix composed of Malta–cross crystals whose properties ensure the binding of a strong concentration of aromatic base while guaranteeing consistent distribution and salting–out of the flavoring within the feed.
The active ingredients contained in the products are under the control and expertise of Phodé R&D: strictness of detection and sensitivity of extraction make possible the production of high–quality compounds, which go well beyond the traditional steps of assembly and composition.
All Phodé products are adapted to the heavy constraints on the feed industry, both with respect to species (pigs, ruminants, poultry) as well as to feed presentation (granular compound feeds and flours, mineral feeds, lacto–replacement feeds and nutritional specialties). Phodé products are available in powder and liquid formulations. Certain versions combine the properties of several product ranges.

Cristalfeed® : cristallic impregnation
Technically advanced and specially formulated to integrate the constraints related to raw materials and to processes, the flavorings of the Cristalfeed® range contain attractant, loyalty–producing aromatic substances which give perfect consistency to flavored feeds.
Phodésweet® : sweetening power
Powerful and persistent sweeteners intended to impart a pleasant sweetened taste to feed. The original combination of intense sweeteners, flavor enhancers and flavor potentiators in the Phodésweet® products provides effective and unique solutions to the problems of feed inappetence (bitterness for example).
Optifeed® : feed intake enhancer
Appetite stimulators intended to be incorporated into feed for young animals, Optifeed® is based on an innovative sensory concept targeting the positive and natural stimulation of the animal’s oropharyngeal receptors in order to maximize the voluntary consumption of feed.
Optifeed® is of interest for feeds distributed “ad libitum” to animals exposed to episodes of significant feeding stress, such as weaning, feed transitions and excessive heat. It is completely adapted for young animals in particular.
Oléobiotec® : bio-regulation
Directly resulting from Phodé research, Oléobiotec® is the first range of sensorial additives to succeed in mastering the concept of bio–regulation:
- guarantees the best appetence to the ration, even hyper–energetics,
- guarantees the best digestibility,
- provides maximum control of flora equilibrium,
- favors the maintenance of the best physiological state for outstanding productivity with minimum health risks.
Glytran® : energy booster
Flavored sensorial additives based on glucose precursors, used for animals during critical periods of severe energy deficiency (in particular at birth).
Glytran® products are perfectly appetent, because they benefit from the incorporation of an Optifeed® core.
A unique manufacturing technology imparts perfect flow characteristics on Glytan® powders and supports granulation and use in multiple distribution modes, including incorporation in compound feeds and use in top–dressing nutritional specialties.
Phodérush® : promote physiological potential
Natural energizers and antioxydants which promote the physiological potential of the animal, in particular in the phases of strong production and during periods of stress.
Associating aromatic substances, spices and glucose precursors, Phodérush® stimulates voluntary consumption, contributes to restoring the oxygen balance and supports the digestive absorption for a maximized production. Phodérush® can be incorporated into the feed during manufacture or is directly distributed to the animal in top-dress.
